This camp will be taught by our popular instructor Jamie Koniakowsky, freshly back from her 6 week humanitarian trip to central America. The camp will run from August 18 through the 22, and will be limited to absolutely no more than 6 campers. Please contact the office right away if you are interested in this late summer addition to our camp schedule! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Just a reminder - NCEP will be closed on Monday September 1st for the Labor Day Holiday. Because there are five Mondays in September, no make-up needed for this holiday. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ RAINY SEASON IS HERE AND GONE! The rains have come, and almost gone, ground school has geared up, and we have even needed to close from time to time due to weather-related conditions. Just in case of the occasional April shower, however, we would like to remind all our customers that we guarantee 8 or 12 lessons, depending on the package you buy. If a weather-related closure forces you to miss your free bonus lesson, a Rain Make-Up will not be given, as you will still be able to complete all the lessons in your package. Regarding make-ups, if you plan missing a lesson, please be sure cancel with AT LEAST 12 hours notice, and then to contact the office as soon as possible to schedule a make-up lesson. Please remember that all make-up lessons MUST be completed by the end of the calendar month or they are FORFEIT. Also, while we guarantee you 8 or 12 lessons at your regularly scheduled day and time, as always make-ups are SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY, so the sooner you contact the office, the better your chance of securing a make-up time that fits into your schedule. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We would like to remind you that the overwhelming popularity of our program makes scheduling at NCEP extremely tight. Please remember that make-up lessons have always been based on availability. We will guarantee you eight (or twelve, depending on the package you purchase) lessons per month at your regularly scheduled day and time. If, for any reason you must miss your lesson, a 12 hour notice is required in order to be eligible for a make-up, and then make-ups are contingent upon availability. This is not a new NCEP policy, however as scheduling tightens and availability decreases, so does the opportunities for make-up lessons. We will always do our best to try and secure make-up lessons for you, but cannot guarantee any lessons outside of your regularly scheduled day and time. We would like to remind you that NCEP does require a commitment of at least eight lessons per month. Please let the office know as soon as possible about any dates that you may miss, so that we can make every effort to get your rider's eight lessons done while you are in town. If that is not possible, however, any missed lessons cannot be carried over into another month. Not unlike daycare, piano lessons, or dance classes, those missed lessons allow you to hold your spot in the program. Remember: if you'd like the horses to be around for the rest of your lessons, they still need to be fed and housed year-round, even when you aren't there! _________________________________________________________________ PLEASE NOTE: Due to limited availability and overwhelming enrollment our current riding program for beginner riders is full. We are accepting names for our waitlist which, currently, is about 10 months long. We also have a slightly shorter wait list for our existing customers (camps, Pony Preschools, siblings, etc). If you have previous hunter seat equitation experience, or have attended one of our camps, contact our office to see if an evaluation lesson would be appropriate for you. * NCEP is exploring the possibility of adding a 7th week of camp at the end of summer, August 18-22, as not all schools are back in session yet. It is likely to be limited to 6 riders. If you are interested in these dates, please contact the office as soon as possible.
A minimum of 6 students is required to hold a camp. A maximum of 12 will be accepted .
* Due to the overwhelming success of last year's "Pony Preschool Camp" for riders 6 & 7 years of age, we have designated July 14-18 and August 4-8 as our Pony Preschool Camps for 2008. For the Pony Preschool Camp the price is $450 a week, as we accept fewer riders (a maximum of 8) so that our staff can give more individual attention to this younger group.
